Celebrity hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein worked in partnership with Dove Hair to create a loose interpretation of old-school Hollywood waves. To prep the hair for heat styling, Rubenstein sprayed this smoothing spray all over Strahovski’s damp hair. The product protects hair from heat damage and helps it maintain movement and bounce once the hair is curled.

Mandy Moore worked with her favorite celebrity hairstylist Jenn Streicher for this year’s Emmys. To get the glossy, beachy texture, Streicher says the actress “let her hair air-dry with some anti-humidity, smoothing milk from Garnier.” When the hair was dry, Streicher spritzed it with texture spray before adding some extensions and heat styling.

Natalia Dyer

To complement Natalia Dyer’s gold, beaded Dolce & Gabbana gown, celebrity stylist Gregory Russell gave her hair an equally sophisticated style, crafting polished, side-parted waves. Russel, who worked in collaboration with Marc Anthony styling products and Ghd hot tools, prepped the actress’s wet hair with this $7 Marc Anthony blow-dry cream — raking it from mid-strand to ends to ensure the hair was smooth, hydrated, and held bounce — before blowing it dry using a Ghd dryer and round brush.

“When Yara decided on the fabulous pink Gucci gown, I was instantly inspired to emulate the dress’s sparkly trim on her nails,” said celebrity manicurist Emi Kudo. “We went for textured tips using Essie’s concrete glitters collection. We paired the shade Beat of the Moment (a glittery pink) with a nude base called Clothing Optional. The subtle nail art was perfect for her modern aesthetic.”

Celebrity hairstylist John D worked with Tresemmé and Ghd to create Evan Rachel Wood’s sleek low bun, which he accented with colorful flowers. When it came to adding the fresh foliage to the polished chignon, John D trusted this Tresemmé hairspray to lock the look in place for the duration of the Emmys red carpet and show.

Makeup artist Toby Fleischman partnered with Burt’s Bees to create the actress’s romantic beauty look. He swirled together the multipurpose chubby sticks, in the shades Peach Pond and Suez Sands, to create a flushed glow on the cheeks.

Chrissy Teigen’s hair was styled by her friend and trusted pro Jen Atkin, who used a bunch of different products to perfect the slick, wavy bob. One of the cheaper products in Atkin’s kit was this sculpting gel, which she scrunched through Teigen’s dry hair to get that beachy, wet look.

Issa Rae

Taking a cue from the detailed beading on Issa’s blue Vera Wang pantsuit, celebrity manicurist Eri Ishizuwe used Essie’s line of glitter polish (coming soon) to bring the look together. “We used Essie’s Venture to the Venue, a shimmering vanilla-white color. The shade was stunning against her skin tone,” said Ishizu.

Quinn wanted Foy’s lips to be the statement of the look, so he used this bright red liquid lipstick in the shade Glacial Glide. He applied one coat, then blotted it out before adding a second coat on top for more intensity.

Kristin Bell

If you thought Kristin Bell’s eyes looked a little more dramatic than usual, it might be a result of her falsies. Celebrity makeup artist Amy Oresman partnered with Kiss lashes, using the under-$10 strip lashes to define Bell’s bright blue eyes.
