Of the completely made up pop culture holidays – Friendsgiving and Festivus, I’m looking at you – Galentine’s Day is my favorite. What could be more fun than a day devoted to celebrating amazing female friendships? And waffles.
Still confused about Galentine’s Day? No worries. Like the other aforementioned pop culture holidays
It’s so rare to find a skincare product that 100% delivers on all its promises. So, when I tripped across Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow in a bag of samples from Sephora, I wasn’t expecting a lot. But, I’m happy to report that this delicious-smelling sleeping mask made my skin as glowing and even-textured as promised. I’ve found a new favorite.
In other shopping news, a pair of brocade boots that are richly detailed, but still completely at home in a neutral wardrobe. And perfumed laundry detergent that will make your wardrobe smell just
I am the least likely person to enjoy a winter vacation. I was born and raised in California, and currently live in a part of Nor Cal that does not have weather. Like, any weather. Below 60 is a super cold day; anything above 80 is a massive heat wave. I’m nicely acclimated to room temperature.

Also, buying holiday-packaged beauty goods in January is the best. The prices are fantastic, and literally no one is going to ever see (or care) that your lotion has snowflakes on the label.
Check out my favorite online shopping picks for the week…
I love winter, but my thin California blood can’t handle real cold. I’m so glad I found out about Uniqlo’s Heattech line. I’ve been a loyal Heattech customer since the days where you had to special order it from Japan. Luckily Uniqlo is now available in major cities and online. I couldn’t make it through winter without it. A couple of snuggly Heattech knit caps were high on my shopping list this week. In other news, an inspiration quote ring that isn’t too sweet to pair with a mostly-black wardrobe. I had no idea this was possible.
For the first time this season it feels like winter here in Northern California. So, coats and boots are top of mind right now. I have two gorgeous finds in this week’s round up. I also want to share a couple of recent purchases I’m loving: a wear-everywhere minimalist dress at an outstanding price and a sleek neutral nail polish that feels super modern.
