What would a campaign season be without Gigi Hadid? She pretty much dominated last season’s Spring 2018 offerings, landing campaigns for Stuart Weitzman, Valentino and Versace. For Fall 2018, Gigi has managed to score campaigns for Moschino, Fendi and Versace (so far). Now, CR Fashion Book‘s current cover girl is after her BFF Kendall Jenner‘s modeling gig, snatching the Missoni advertising campaign (she also appeared in the Fall 2017 ads) for the Fall 2018 season, paired with male model Yassine Rahal. Photographed by Harley Weir and under the creative direction of Angela Missoni herself, Gigi poses under a vivid blue sky wearing the Italian fashion house’s latest collection.
The campaign wasn’t appreciated by the vast majority of our forum members, however. “Another Missoni campaign wasted on an Insta girl. Why are they so obsessed with them? They don’t fit the brand at all,” called out anlabe32 straight away.
“What a pity they wasted this campaign on Gigi,” slammed tjasmine.
“It’s just… there. It’s giving me zero of whatever is supposed to give me,” said dodencebt.

ParisFashionMuse agreed, saying, “Not the strongest advertisement for Missoni! Not luxe enough and bad casting!”
“I love Gigi, but this is bad,” guimon admitted.
“I’m sorry Gigi but this time it’s a NO,” said versustito.
Yet not everyone was so disappointed with Missoni’s latest. “I like it! I think I’ve come to appreciate Gigi’s work more and more. Every time I look at her photos, I see a desire and an effort to play with movement. I like her campaigns more than her editorials but she is delivering,” said Lola701 in Gigi’s defense.
“I quite like this,” mikel echoed.
